Melissa A Couture

Melissa Couture is a systems analyst, mother of three, and dedicated Libertarian activist in South Carolina. Having built a career on streamlining operations, she advocates for efficiency and accountability in state government, aiming for less spending, less waste, and full budget transparency. An active member of the Libertarian Party since 2016, she serves as Second Vice Chair of the South Carolina Libertarian Party, Chair of Charleston County LP, and Chair of the SCLP Campaigns Committee. She seeks to represent SC House District 15, campaigning on lower taxes, smaller government, and expanded personal freedom. Her platform includes phasing out the state income tax, marijuana legalization, and prison reform focused on rehabilitation.
