Melissa Beaton

Melissa Beaton is a lifelong resident of Skagit County and currently serves as the Skagit County Clerk, a role she has held since 2019. Her career in public service began in 1998 at the Skagit County Superior Court, where she worked her way up to Superior Court Manager. She has served on the Mount Vernon City Council since 2018. Beaton is a graduate of Leadership Skagit and Skagit Valley College. Her community involvement includes serving as the first female President of Skagit Rotary, being a past board member of the Skagit Valley Family YMCA, and serving on various committees for the Mount Vernon School District.
