Melissa Hardy is an incumbent Republican member of the Nevada State Assembly, representing District 22, having assumed office in November 2018. She also serves as Assistant Republican Floor Leader South. Born in Las Vegas in 1969, she earned a B.S. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and previously worked as a real estate agent. Hardy advocates for policies discouraging "porch pirates," combating human trafficking, increasing mental health resources, and creating an agile regulatory system to attract new industries. She champions school choice, proposes breaking up the Clark County School District, and supports expanding medical school and residency programs in Nevada. Hardy is seeking re-election to her Assembly seat in 2026.
