Mia Pesefea graduated from Monroe High School in 2014 and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Eastern Washington University. She began working at the EWU Children's Center while in college and is now the family service coordinator for the center's Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program. A sixth-generation resident of a local farm, she lives in Cheney with her husband and son. This is her first run for office.
