Micaela Lara Cadena

Micaela Lara Cadena is an incumbent Democratic State Representative for New Mexico's 33rd district, representing a portion of Doña Ana County. She first assumed office in January 2019 and is seeking re-election in the 2026 Primary. Cadena brings a background as a Research Director, notably with Young Women United and Bold Futures, where she focused on policy change and advocacy for communities of color, especially around reproductive justice and criminal legal reform.
