Michael A. Stone is a judge for the North Carolina 3rd Superior Court Division, presiding over District 29 (formerly 19D). He assumed office on January 1, 2019, with his current term ending in 2026. Previously, he served as a district court judge for the 16A Judicial District from 2016 to 2018, after being appointed by Governor Pat McCrory in July 2014. He received his B.A. from Methodist University in 1992 and his J.D. from Campbell University in 1995.
