A lifelong resident of Prince George's County, Bance is a product of local schools, including Bowie State University. His professional background is diverse, spanning both education and business. He has served the community as an educator and varsity football coach at Parkdale High School and Kettering Middle School. In the private sector, he is a Senior Sales Manager at Vectorworks and previously founded his own personal training business. Bance's public service includes a historic election to the New Carrollton City Council, where he was one of the youngest and the first African American to hold office.
