Michael Bruce was the Grays Harbor County Hospital District 2 board chair and a former three-term mayor of Westport, where he served for 12 years. A graduate of Washington State University, he also worked in the Ocosta School District as a librarian and technology director for eight years. Bruce served on the Grays Harbor Hospital District 2 Board of Commissioners and the Marine Resources Committee. He passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 71.
