Michael DeCillis is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York's 11th Congressional District. A fourth-generation Staten Islander now residing in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, DeCillis served as a paramedic and 9/11 first responder, and spent a decade as an officer in the New York Police Department. He later worked as a special education teacher in New York City public schools, a chief of staff in the State Assembly, and as assistant counsel for the NYC Districting Commission.
