Previously served as Norfolk County Sheriff (1999–2018), as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from the 1st Norfolk district (1993–1999), and as interim president of Quincy College. A graduate of Boston College and New England Law Boston, he is the son of former Massachusetts Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor Francis Bellotti.
