Michael H Lemelin

Michael H. Lemelin is a Republican State Representative for Maine's District 53, currently serving his third term in the House. With a background in aerospace engineering and experience as a commercial airline pilot, he now works as a business manager in Hallowell. Representative Lemelin is a prominent member of the Health and Human Services Committee, serving as Republican Lead, and also sits on the Government Oversight Committee. His legislative efforts include sponsoring bills on earned paid leave and tax credits for dental care providers, as well as cosponsoring acts concerning transportation reimbursement and historic preservation. He resides in Chelsea with his wife, Dr. Kelly Lemelin, and their three children. He has also chaired the Chelsea Planning Board and served on the RSU 12 school board.
