Michael Lilliquist has served on the Bellingham City Council since 2010 and is currently in his fourth term. His colleagues elected him to serve as Council President in 2017 and 2023. He holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin, a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington, and an Advanced Paralegal Certificate from Edmonds Community College. A fifth-generation Washingtonian, he moved to Bellingham over 25 years ago. His professional background includes work as a scientific researcher, health professional, and paralegal.
