Michaela Kelso is a Democratic candidate for Washington House of Representatives District 6, Position 1 in the 2026 Primary Election. Born in Bad Homburg, Germany, she completed high school there before serving in the U.S. Army from 1995 to 2018 as a linguist and interrogator. Kelso also completed an apprenticeship in horticulture and earned an associate degree in 2024. Now retired, she is married with two children and resides in Deer Park, Washington. She has prior political experience, including a 2022 state House race, and serves in leadership with the Spokane County Democratic Party.
