Michele Rayner-Goolsby is a civil rights attorney and a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 62. First elected to the House in 2020, she became the first openly queer Black woman to serve in the Florida Legislature. Rayner earned degrees in political science and international affairs from Florida State University and a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. She is currently a candidate for the Florida State Senate District 16 election in 2026.
