Michele W. Johnson is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in Legislative District 37B for the primary on June 23, 2026. A resident of Talbot County, her background includes public service and non-profit leadership. Johnson joined the Maryland state government in April 2023 and currently serves as the Director for the Maryland 250 Commission, which is tasked with planning the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States' founding. Her prior community involvement includes chairing the Congressman Elijah Cummings Youth Program and serving as a member of a county Board of Zoning Appeals. She has also worked as a national consultant and advocate. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of Virginia.
