Miguel Valencia was born in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from Othello High School in 2017 and served in the U.S. Army from 2017 to 2020 as a paralegal specialist. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from St. Martin's University and is a part-time student at Seattle University School of Law. His professional experience includes working as a judicial assistant in the Spokane County District Court and as a paralegal at the Spokane law firm Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee. He is also an at-large member of the Spokane County Democrats executive board.
