Mike Bousselot is a Republican State Senator for Iowa's 21st District, with a term ending January 2027. He seeks re-election for District 23 in the June 2026 primary. An experienced public servant, Bousselot advised and served as chief of staff for former Governor Terry Branstad, later appointed Budget Director and Director of the Iowa Department of Management by Governor Kim Reynolds. He also served in the Iowa House. Holding degrees in accounting and law, he worked in finance, agriculture, and real estate. Originally from Davenport, he lives in Ankeny with his wife, Holly, and is active in his community.
