Mike Fechtmann

Mike Fechtmann is a Democratic candidate seeking election to the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 29C in the primary scheduled for June 23, 2026. He possesses an extensive background in engineering and materials science. Currently, Fechtmann is a Fuel Containment Subject Matter Expert, a role that builds upon his prior experience as a Fuel Containment Technical Specialist with the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). His academic journey includes earning a bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech and a master's degree from Rutgers University. He is presently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Maryland's Department of Materials Science and Engineering. An accomplished inventor, Fechtmann also holds two patents.
