He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2003 and in the Florida Senate from 2003 to 2012, where he was Senate President from 2010 to 2012. Following his time in the state legislature, Haridopolos worked in political consulting before his election to Congress. He resides in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida.
