He is a graduate of DMACC, the University of Iowa, and Drake University Law School. Jones is running as a Democrat for Iowa House District 32 in the 2026 primary election. His campaign focuses on rolling back education savings accounts, increasing taxes on tobacco and nicotine, legalizing marijuana, and investing in public schools through expanded pre-K and free lunches.
