Mike Nugent is a lifelong Missoula resident and an alumnus of the University of Montana, where he earned a degree in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration. His professional background is in real estate; he is the Vice President of Berkshire Hathaway Montana Properties. Before his election to the City Council in 2022, he served as a Commissioner on the Missoula Housing Authority Board. Nugent is active in the community, having served as a past President of the United Way of Missoula County Board of Directors and on the boards of the Missoula County Fairgrounds Foundation, the YMCA, and Missoula Midtown. He and his wife are also co-owners of a local small business.
