Mike Steele

Mike Steele, a Republican, has represented Washington's 12th Legislative District in the House of Representatives since 2017. Born and raised in Chelan, he is a Pacific Lutheran University alumnus who previously served on the White House staff during the George W. Bush administration, the Washington House Republican Caucus staff, and the Chelan City Council. He also served as executive director of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. Steele's legislative priorities include promoting economic vitality, sustainable job growth, career and technical education, housing affordability, public safety, and improving education outcomes. He is seeking re-election to continue fighting for affordable communities, strong schools, and economic opportunity for Washington families.
