Mike Taggart has a background in computer engineering and programming, having studied at Control Data Institute after attending UCLA for Communications. He has been involved with engineering and science research throughout his career and is currently the Managing Director and CEO of RhizoSystems, LLC, and the CEO of Software Science North, LLC. Taggart has a long history of volunteerism, serving as a volunteer Wilderness Ranger for the US Forest Service for 25 years and founding the Forest Service Volunteer Association. He previously served as a Fire Commissioner for the Idyllwild (CA) Fire Protection District and for East County Fire & Rescue in Washington.
