Mitch Rosenwald is a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 98 (part of Broward County) since 2024. Born in Towson, Maryland, he lives in Oakland Park, Florida. He earned a BA in sociology and economics from Salisbury University, an MA in sociology from Syracuse University, and MSW and PhD degrees in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is a professor of social work and director of doctoral studies at Barry University's School of Social Work, a licensed clinical social worker, and a past president of NASW-Florida Chapter. Before the House he served on the Oakland Park City Commission, including Vice Mayor (2022-2023) and Mayor (2023-2024).
