Mitchell Ryan Distin is an evolutionary biologist, educator, and the founder and director of The New People Foundation. He holds a B.Sc. in Neuroscience from Michigan State University, an M.Sc. from University College London, and a Ph.D. from the Universitat de València. Distin's work focuses on the intersection of evolutionary science, ecopsychology, and environmental advocacy. He is a Democratic candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives to represent District 104.
