Molly Barnes was elected as the Director of District 3 in November 2021. A resident of Monroe for over 20 years, she is a full-time homemaker and a mother of three students in the Monroe School District. She graduated from Highline High School in 2003 and later earned a degree in Exercise Science from Seattle Pacific University. Her motivation for serving on the board stems from a desire to be a voice for students and parents, and to ensure educators feel supported.
