Mona Abdulla is a second-generation Yemeni-American and a former at-large member of the Lackawanna City School Board in New York, where she served from 2015 to 2022. Born and raised in Buffalo, she holds a Master's degree in College Student Affairs from Buffalo State. She currently serves as the Co-Director of a nonprofit organization and is a passionate advocate for the Arab-American community. Abdulla is running for Governor of New York in the 2026 Democratic primary.
