Monica Thibodeau

Monica Thibodeau has served on the Duck Town Council since December 2002 and is the current Mayor Pro Tempore. She has been a permanent resident of Duck since 1988 and is the managing owner of Carolina Designs Realty, Inc. She earned a BA from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University. Thibodeau is an active community volunteer, having served in leadership roles with the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, Outer Banks Tourism Board, and Outer Banks Relief Foundation. She was named REALTOR® of the Year in 2010 and received the OBAR Career Achievement Award in 2023.
