About Me — Mylinda Carrillo

Candidate for Mayor of Fontana, California

My name is Mylinda Carrillo, and Fontana is more than just the city I call home, it is a community that has helped shape the woman I am today. Having grown up here, I have developed a deep appreciation for the people, values, and sense of community that make Fontana special.

My commitment to serving others began at just twelve years old, when I started volunteering through my church and helping feed the homeless. From an early age, I learned the importance of compassion, humility, and extending a helping hand to those in need. My involvement in the church and community taught me that service is not about recognition or personal gain, but about being willing to give your time and heart to others.

Throughout my life, I have continued to volunteer, remain active in the community, and seek opportunities to make a meaningful difference. My Catholic faith and conservative values have played an important role in shaping my principles, strengthening my belief in personal responsibility, accountability, and the importance of serving others.

Professionally, I bring experience in warehouse management and human resources, including working with employees, coordinating staffing, supporting daily operations, and helping maintain an organized and productive workplace. My professional background has given me firsthand experience with the importance of leadership, teamwork, communication, and accountability. I understand the responsibility that comes with managing people, addressing workplace challenges, and making decisions that affect both employees and organizational operations. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for practical problem-solving, responsible management, and the value of hard work.

Today, I am running for Mayor of Fontana because I believe our community deserves thoughtful, responsible leadership that listens to its residents and takes their concerns seriously. I want to see a city where public safety is a priority, homelessness is addressed with compassion and accountability, development is carefully considered, and the quality of life of our residents remains at the forefront of decision-making.

I believe that the success of a city should not be measured solely by its growth, but by how well it serves its people. Our families deserve safe neighborhoods, responsible stewardship of public resources, and a local government that remains attentive to the needs of the community.

For me, this campaign is personal. Fontana is part of my story, my upbringing, and the values I carry with me. I am seeking the opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape my life and to bring my experience in management, my commitment to service, and my dedication to accountability into city leadership.

My journey began with serving others at the age of twelve, and today, I hope to continue that journey through public service as Mayor of Fontana. I believe leadership begins with listening, is strengthened by accountability, and should always remain grounded in a genuine commitment to the people we serve.
