NB
Nancy Backus is the first woman to be elected Mayor of Auburn, serving since 2014. Before becoming mayor, she served for ten years on the Auburn City Council and had a 25-year career as a Financial Manager at Boeing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from City University and is a graduate of Auburn High School. Backus is actively involved in numerous regional boards and committees, focusing on issues like homelessness, transportation, and economic development.
