Nancy DeBoer is the incumbent Michigan State Representative for District 86. Before her election to the state legislature, she spent 14 years in local government, serving 10 years on the Holland City Council and two terms as the first female mayor of Holland from 2015 to 2019. DeBoer also taught middle and high school English, spent 17 years as executive director of the West Michigan Character Council, and co-hosted a local radio talk show. She earned a B.A. from Calvin College.
