Nancy Thomason was voted in to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Commissioners. She grew up in Topsail Beach, moving there full-time in 2015. Thomason has a background in finance with an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill and has worked for Wachovia and the bio-tech company Aviceda Therapeutics. She was an advocate for the conservation of The Point.
