Naomy DePena is the Deputy Mayor of Belleville, a mother of two, and a small business owner. She is noted as being the first Latina Deputy Mayor in Belleville's history. Her parents were missionaries, and she spent part of her childhood in the Dominican Republic before coming to Belleville. For over 15 years, she was a public school teacher in Belleville working with special needs students. Currently, she and her husband own the Zentai Martial Arts and After-School Program. She also serves as a motivational speaker, a mentor for at-risk youth, and has led humanitarian aid missions in several countries.
