Naren Briar is the daughter of Kurdish refugees who fled Iraq. She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and is a graduate of Boston College. Her professional experience is in the tech industry at Meta, where she worked on privacy and policy issues. She is a graduate of the Bellevue Essentials civic engagement program. Briar is an active community volunteer, mentoring high school students and creating enrichment programs for senior citizens.
