Nicholas 'Nick' Schultz is the incumbent, having been elected to the State Assembly in November 2024. He previously served as the Mayor of Burbank and was a member of the Burbank City Council starting in 2020. Before his election to the legislature, Schultz worked as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice, where he prosecuted crimes such as public corruption and human trafficking. He earned both his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Oregon. He lives in Burbank with his wife and two children.
