Nick Laninga is a graduate of Lynden Christian School. His professional experience includes being a grocery store manager and owner, as well as a bus driver and paraeducator for special needs students in the Lynden School District. He has also served in the Army Reserves for six years. Laninga has received the Association of Washington Cities certificate of Leadership. He is an active supporter of Swan Graphics on the Yakama Nation Reservation, which provides vocational training for native young adults.
