Nick Salazar is a Democratic candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives, seeking to represent District 96 in the June 2, 2026 primary election. He is known for his activism in eastern Iowa, particularly Muscatine, and has served as the Iowa Democratic Party 2nd Congressional District Affirmative Action Chair. Salazar previously held the position of LULAC Iowa State Director, becoming the youngest person to do so, and was instrumental in efforts to challenge Iowa's voter ID laws and provide student scholarships.
