Nicole Jeanette Cannizzaro

Nicole Jeanette Cannizzaro is a Nevada State Senator and the first woman to serve as Nevada Senate Majority Leader. A product of Nevada's public education, she holds degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno, and UNLV Boyd School of Law. Her career includes over a decade as a prosecutor in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, rising to Chief Deputy District Attorney in the Gang Unit. As a legislator, she has championed reproductive rights, addressed housing affordability, increased education funding, and worked to lower healthcare costs. Cannizzaro is running for Attorney General in 2026, aiming to combine her legal and legislative advocacy experience to serve Nevadans. She lives in Las Vegas with her family.
