Nigel Bristow was born in New York, N.Y., and resides in Hamlet, North Carolina. He is a retired New York City Police Department detective with 20 years of service. After retiring, he relocated to North Carolina and began working for the N.C. Department of Adult Correction, where he currently serves as a Chief Probation/Parole Officer. Bristow holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College. He is actively involved in his community, chairing several organizations, including the Richmond County Local Reentry Council and New Horizons, an agency serving domestic violence survivors. He is married and has two children.
