Osman Salahuddin was appointed to the State House in January 2025. A Redmond native and the son of Pakistani immigrants, he is a graduate of the University of Washington with a B.S. in neurobiology, where he also served as Student Body President. His career experience includes research at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center and UW Medicine, and working as a communications and community engagement manager for a King County Councilmember. He was elected to the Redmond City Council in 2023.
