Owen Curry and his wife Maria moved to Angel Fire from Dallas, Texas, in 2018. They are the owners of Resort Properties of Angel Fire, a business that has been in operation since 1995, which they purchased in 2018. Prior to this, they owned a shipping business for over 30 years. Curry has served as a Village Councilor, winning an uncontested race in 2021. He also serves as the Council Liaison for the Lodger's Tax Advisory Board and is a member of the Comprehensive Planning Committee.
