Pamela Jo Swift

Pamela Jo Swift is a Democratic candidate for the Maine House of Representatives, District 62, in the 2026 primary election. A longtime Palermo resident with deep family roots in Maine, she earned degrees from Virginia Tech and the Medical College of Virginia, becoming an OB/GYN. After 23 years in medicine, she returned to her animal science background, purchasing a farm in Palermo where she raises sheep, hens, and pigs with her husband. Swift is affiliated with the Palermo Community Library, Branch Mills Grange #336, and the Palermo Historical Society. She is running to address issues like PFAS contamination, advocating for state efforts in testing, filtration, and aid for affected farmers.
