Pamelya Paulette Herndon

Pamelya Herndon is a Democratic State Representative for New Mexico's District 28, serving since 2021. An attorney and community leader, she currently presides as CEO of the KWH Law Center, a nonprofit providing affordable legal representation. Born in Texas and educated at Howard University and the University of Texas, Herndon previously worked as an Assistant Attorney General, General Counsel, and Deputy Cabinet Secretary for New Mexico, and as a litigation attorney for the IRS. She advocates for healthcare access, public education, public safety, and economic opportunity, chairing the House Health and Human Services Committee and serving on the House Appropriations and Finance Committee. She is seeking re-election in the 2026 primary.
