Patrick M. 'Pat' Brennan is a Republican state senator representing Vermont's Grand Isle District. Born in Burlington and a Colchester resident since 1985, he was educated at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington. He is married to Mary and they have two children and three grandchildren. A small-business owner, he launched Brennan's Quick Stop and the Bloomin' Onion Concessions with his father about 30 years ago. He served seven years on the Colchester Planning Commission in the early 1990s, represented Colchester in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2003 through 2024 (including as chair of the House Transportation Committee), and was elected to the Vermont State Senate in 2024.
