Patrick McLaughlin is a Republican serving as Queen Anne's County Commissioner for District 2 in Maryland. First elected in November 2022, McLaughlin currently seeks re-election. Born in New York, he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Drexel University. McLaughlin spent decades in the medical field, founding a specialty medical distribution company in Montgomery County in 1990 before relocating to the Eastern Shore in 1997. In 2021, he transitioned careers to become the owner and operator of a local Allstate Insurance Agency. As commissioner, he serves on numerous local boards, including the Board of Health and the Fire and EMS Commission.
