Patrick "Pat" Tillman is the incumbent Commissioner for District 3, first elected in 2022. He is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran who served in Anbar Province, Iraq. Tillman holds a B.S. in Political Science and Communications from Appalachian State University and a Master's in Management from Troy University. Prior to his role as commissioner, he served on the Guilford County Board of Education from 2016 to 2022. Professionally, he is the Director of Sales and Marketing at PHD Laboratories. He has also been appointed to the North Carolina Safer Schools Task Force.
