Paul C. Edwards is the Republican Chair of the Board of County Commissioners for District 2 in Garrett County, Maryland, a position he has held since December 2014. His career in public service began in 1999 with the Grantsville Town Council, and in 2005 he was elected as the town's youngest mayor, serving for a decade. An alumnus of Northern Garrett High School, Edwards earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Frostburg State University. Concurrently with his public service, he has had an extensive career in education within Garrett County Public Schools as a teacher, coach, and administrator, and now serves as the Director of Secondary Education. He is also actively involved in numerous boards and commissions.
