Paul Charbonneau was elected to the council in 2021, becoming the youngest-ever councilmember in Newcastle. A graduate of local Hazen High School, he earned a B.A. in Political Science and Public Health from Occidental College, where he served as Student Body President. He was a public policy fellow at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. His work experience includes legislative and lobbying efforts for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
