Paul Gilligan

Paul Gilligan is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in Legislative District 4. His professional background is in healthcare administration, having served as the chief executive of Chesapeake Kidney Center Inc. and as a retired commissioned officer of the U.S. Public Health Service. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Loyola College and a master's degree in health from Johns Hopkins University. Gilligan's previous public service includes four years as the mayor of Burkittsville from 1995 to 1999. He has also been an active member of several civic organizations, including the Mid-Maryland Land Trust Association, the South Mountain Heritage Society, the Frederick County Citizens Zoning Review Committee, and the Charter Review Commission.
