Paul Golnik is the incumbent for Commissioner Position 5. He was first appointed to the Board of Fire Commissioners on March 10, 2005, and was subsequently elected in November 2005. Golnik is a retired Captain from the Bremerton Fire Department, where he served for over 38 years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue for 13 years, from 1971 to 1984. He is a longtime resident of South Kitsap.
